Default Best soloing character?

A while back I had a level 20 PVE character, who I got to droknars forge, then my idiot brother deleted him...Anyway I want to start a new PVE but don't want to deal with the general idiocy of other people (I know theyre a minority but still) What character is best for getting to 20 the fastest, alone with only the help of henchies? I also plan to use this character for farming if at all possible to earn a heap load of platinum so I can start a second more serious PVE character to participate with other people with. Thanks for the help.

For PvE with henchmen, anyone with Monk secondary (For resurrect) is good. The best choices may be Me/Mo, Mo/x, or E/Mo in that respect.

For farming, W/Mo and Mo/W are the most popular choices.

So, if you want to do best with both, I would suggest making a Monk/whatever and switching to Warrior support after you ascend.

I started with W/N because i couldn't find any help with quests (Final Assault, Defend Droknars etc.) and it is hard to do them with R/E. It seems my W/N will be great. It's easy to level up with W and to solo.

I'd say monk primary is best for soloing missions by far. It's easier to let henchies fight and keep them healed and healthy than to be a fighter or caster and have to rely on henchie healing/protection.

Not Mesmer...

Wa/Mo, W/N and Mo/X are all very solid soloers. I found my N/Mo pretty easy too.

I've never seen a more effective farmer than my Mo/W. With the right skills they just rock, and at early levels they can still solo a lot of places and level up VERY quickly, especially with a few tripple XP scrolls. I went with a guildie to a certain spot with some tripple XP scrolls, and we got like 10,000xp each in less than 5 mins, it was glorious.

One thing that you need to remember though is, your build is only a part of your effectiveness, you need to play smart and maximize your effectiveness. A smart player with a good skillset is considered by the general populus to be "god-like"...So many people fail that first requirement though, haha.

You can buy scrolls to boost the experience you get from enemies for a limited amount of time (the shortest being thirty seconds, the longest being 10 minutes). They sometimes have conditions, for example, if you don't kill a boss within x amount of time, they run out.

I like my Wammo for henching because I can pull enemies by simply aggroing them then walking backward, and it works 90% of the time. Otherwise, I know if you call targets (ctrl-click or ctrl-space if one is already selected) you can send the war henchies ahead so they grab aggro, but then they tend to grab ALL aggros which is annoying.

Monk primary I would assume would be decent, since you have as much time as you want to regen energy. Plus, you could take Alesia with you if you wanted to conserve time.

EDIT: by aggroing I mean walking up til the closest one hits my circle and aggros on me, then walking backward, as opposed to ranger-pulling. It's really easy to do once you get the hang of it, and unless 2 groups are EXTREMELY close I can aggro just as good as a ranger.
